At Kendle we’ve been responsible for many successful scientific events and publication programs. Below are some recent examples where we’ve delivered results.
Increasing attendance at medical education meetings
A non-profit patient/professional association dedicated to a chronic gastrointestinal condition recently challenged Kendle to create a compelling, credible disease management educational event for physicians attending a national medical meeting. The time slot for the symposium was highly competitive with other symposia and evening social activities, and we were also required to broaden the reach of the meeting.
We attracted the audience by web-based technology and more traditional means such as mailed invitations. For the symposium we assembled a key opinion-leading faculty, presenting new patient management information in an interesting case study format. After the event we accredited a follow-up web-cast of the symposium to be hosted on the association’s website for one year. The result? Not only did the symposium provide new scientific data on patient management, but the symposium attendance was six times greater than a similar symposium hosted by the association the year before.
Creating a comprehensive scientific publication program
When a biotechnology company needed to turn their study results into credible scientific exchange opportunities to educate and inform healthcare professionals, they selected Kendle.
We collaborated with the company to match our medical writing team to their needs, and located our team, including an on-site Kendle manager to oversee the activities, within a five minute drive of their in-house medical writing resources to enhance teamwork and productivity. We provided relevant clinical development and regulatory training for the entire medical writing team.
To date the team has written, submitted and published 15 manuscripts, 96 abstracts and 59 posters. We have another 36 manuscripts in progress. The biotechnology company was pleased that we met their scientific needs and created a comprehensive publication
