Kendle Morgantown, home of the company’s US Phase I studies, is located in the city of Morgantown, WV in Monongalia County. With a population of over 80,000, it lies along the Pennsylvania border in the central north part of West Virginia. Morgantown is the home to West Virginia University, the largest institution of higher education in the State with an annual enrolment of 21,500 students; and is the medical, cultural, and commercial hub of the region.

The close proximity to Pittsburgh provides Morgantown with a nearby big-city dose of arts, retail, and sports.
Within a 500-mile radius of Morgantown is one-half of the population of the United States and one-third of the population of Canada. Morgantown is one day's drive from six of the seven largest U.S. metropolitan areas, 20 metro areas with populations of 1 million or more, and 22 of the nation's top 35 industrial markets.
The Appalachian plateau makes for dramatic scenery, and the Cooper's Rock State Forest provides a popular area for hiking, biking, camping, skiing, and white-water rafting.
