Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

As Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Higginbotham provides executive leadership for Kendle's strategic customer relationship and global sales and marketing initiatives. He is a member of the Company’s Executive Committee. Mr. Higginbotham has more than 25 years of executive-level experience in the CRO and biopharmaceutical industries, including senior business development and marketing leadership positions.

Mr. Higginbotham joined Kendle in January 2004 as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer and has served since that time in key executive leadership roles with the Company. From April 2008 through July 2009 he assumed the role of President to drive customer and business expansion efforts key to the Company’s future growth as a top-tier global CRO. In this capacity he had operational responsibility for Kendle’s global Early Stage business and provided leadership for expansion of the Company’s footprint in Asia/Pacific. In 2009, Mr. Higginbotham returned to the Chief Marketing Officer role providing executive leadership for Kendle’s strategic partnership development and customer relationship initiatives focused on delivery of efficiency, quality and value through innovation and collaboration at the highest levels to drive future growth. Under his leadership Kendle has evolved into a partner of choice for the biopharmaceutical industry, holding preferred partnerships with 14 of the top 20 and customers including 44 of the top 50 biopharmaceutical companies worldwide.

Mr. Higginbotham represents Kendle on the Board of Directors of the Association of Clinical Research Organizations (ACRO). He is widely regarded as an expert on strategic partnerships and relationship development in the biopharmaceutical industry, contributing to numerous articles as well as speaking at key industry conferences on this topic.

Mr. Higginbotham completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program in October 2008 and holds a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of Birmingham in Birmingham, England.
