China’s State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) is renowned for its lengthy clinical trial approval process and this was expected to cause delays in a recent global diabetes study, for which the enrollment window was limited to five months. Using our extensive experience and long-term relationships with key SFDA contacts, however, we were able to obtain early Central IRB conditional approval. The result? All 15 Chinese sites were initiated within six weeks of Clinical Trial Authorization approval.
